Block port: 29910 using COMODO Firewall v3 (by {NP} BMP | BrandiniMP)

1.            Open COMODO Firewall v3.
2.            Click the firewall button at the top.
3.            Click the advanced button, (located to the left of the COMODO window).
4.            Click Network Security Policy.
5.            Click Global Rules, (located in the new window).
6.            Click the button that says 'Add...'.
7.            Set Action: to Block.
8.            Click Destination Port and select: A Single Port.
9.            In the Port: box, enter:  29910.
10.          Click Apply (continue clicking Apply until you’ve reached the COMODO main screen).
11.          The Gamespy, CD Key checking port is now blocked.

Halo Ports:

Router settings:  Ports which may need to be forwarded: 2302

Halo Console:

To set up the Halo Console:

  1. Double click the Halo icon located on your desktop, (or),
  2. Navigate through "Start">"Programs">"Microsoft Games">"Halo">"Halo", (you must select the Halo which has the game icon located beside the name), RIGHTCLICK, and select properties from the right click menu.
  3. Located near the center and top region, you will see the “Target path. Across from

The target path area, you will see this path:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe"

  1. You will need to add the following: -console to the end of the above listed path. Your path should appear as listed below.

          "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe"-console

  1. Select Apply, and click: OK.
  2. Run the game and hit the "~" key.
  3. If you did it right, the console should appear.

Invalid CD key:

Cause:         Gamespy uses port: 29910 to check if the CD Key, (Client side) is valid, and is a common occurrence for games using the Gamespy protocol.

Remedy:      You, as a server operator, should block Remote Port: 29910 UDP protocol.

Router settings:  Ports which may need to be forwarded: 23459 and 34567
